CV Workshop: Compose Yourself

Friday, February 25, 2022 at 10:00 AM until 11:00 AMCentral Standard Time UTC -06:00

The curriculum vitae (CV) has for years been the basic "unit of currency" in academic hiring and career development. At its most fundamental, the CV establishes your credentials, qualifications and experience. But can a CV do more? How can your CV and cover letter work together? This in-person workshop discusses the considerations of both content and structure in CVs and cover letters that apply in different situations. Learn more about ideal content, customization, pitfalls to avoid, and tips to improve both documents.

This registration is for the in-person workshop Friday, February 25, 2022, 10-11 AM, in the Visualization Lab, Graduate Research Center.  You can also find this workshop available continuously via video on our GPS Workshops page.

We recommend those interested in working outside of academia contact the Office of Career and Professional Development for relevant resources.
