This in-person interactive workshop, led by mental health professionals from the Baylor University Counseling Center, will train you in how to watch for signs/symptoms that someone may be suicidal and how to intervene to get that person to a professional for help. You will learn the QPR method; much like CPR is a layperson training for Cardiac Arrest, QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer) equips you with 3 simple steps anyone can learn.
This training is open to any Baylor faculty, staff or students.For those interested in making this a part of their Mental Health Ally training, you will get an Ally T-shirt to identify yourself on campus to students as someone that understands and can direct them to resources.
