This in-person interactive workshop, led by mental health professionals from the Baylor University Counseling Center, will train you in how to watch for signs/symptoms that someone may be suicidal and how to intervene to get that person to a professional for help.

You will learn the QPR method; much like CPR is a layperson training for Cardiac Arrest, QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer) equips you with 3 simple steps anyone can learn.

This training is specifically targeting graduate students working as Teachers of Record and any interested Mental Health Allies.  This training is open to any faculty, staff, or graduate students who would like to join in.

For those interested in making this a part of their Mental Health Ally training, you will get an Ally T-shirt to identify yourself on campus to students as someone that understands and can direct them to resources.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
