Self-care has become synonymous with spa days, retail therapy, and scented candles. Graduate students need self-care as much as anyone else, but with a tight budget and an already over-packed schedule, paying for a massage or buying a pair of cute shoes is probably not an option. In a culture that has stereotypically feminized and overly commercialized self-care, how can ALL graduate students create rhythms and build habits of sustainable self-care?

Come attend the Graduate School’s panel on self-care, made up of Associate Dean Sara Dolan from Psychology and Neuroscience, Dr. Jim Marsh from Student Life and the Counselling Center, Brooke Morris from the Biology Graduate Program, and Anna E. Beaudry from the English Graduate Program. These four panelists will help you re-think self-care and what a healthy, balanced life looks like during your graduate career, helping you build habits not only for now but for your life beyond graduate school too.

Panel will take place from 2-3pm on Tuesday, February 21st in Jones 200. Q&A to follow, refreshments provided.

Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
