Writing is a constant in Graduate School. Regardless of department or degree field, writing is required for degree completion—a LOT of writing, in fact.  Evidence suggests that graduate students are not well-equipped for the writing stages of their degree. One 2017 study even indicated that up to 50% of doctoral students dropped out of their program during the dissertation (writing) stage. While there is no magic bullet, there are strategies to help you be a better and more consistent writer. Come join Beth Allison Barr (who wrote her bestselling book The Making of Biblical Womanhood while working full-time as an administrator in the Graduate School) as she combines her own experience in learning how to write a lot with recent scholarship to help you get your dissertation (or thesis) done.
