    Communicating Ethics: The Danger of Leadership SilenceEmployees take cues from what leaders emphasize—and what they do not. This session focuses on how leaders communicate expectations around ethics, accountability, and service in ways that foster ethical behavior and performance.
    Matt Quade, PhD, is the Kimberly and Aaron P. Graft Professor in Christian Leadership in Business and he serves as the Associate Dean for Values-Based Leadership and the Director of the Center for Christian Leadership and Ethics at the Hankamer School of Business. He earned his PhD in Business Management from Oklahoma State University. Quade is passionate about equipping leaders to fulfill their calling and preparing students for Christian leadership in business.     Join Sara Perry, PhD, for a preview and Q&A session on Baylor’s negotiation course, offering an inside look at what the class covers and how it’s structured. She will highlight key negotiation concepts, explain how students build practical skills, and answer questions about what to expect. This is a great opportunity for prospective students to explore whether the negotiation course aligns with their goals and interests.

    Sara Jansen Perry, PhD, is a professor of Management in Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business, where she helps oversee the Human Resource Management major and teaches courses in conflict resolution, negotiation, talent acquisition, and employee relations. Her research focuses on employee stress and well-being, particularly in remote and hybrid work, and appears in leading journals such as the Journal of Management and Journal of Applied Psychology; she is also co-author of Organized Innovation (Oxford University Press). Dr. Perry’s work has earned multiple faculty awards and has been featured in major media outlets including the New York Times, Washington Post, and Fast Company, and she consults with organizations on best practices for remote work and employee experience. An active member of professional organizations including SIOP, AOM, and SHRM, she previously worked as a sales engineer before earning her MA and PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from the University of Houston and a BS in Computer Science from the University of Missouri.
